Why Journaling is Important?!

Journaling is important for many different reasons. Growing up I used to think that holding things in and trying to forget about them made it easier for me to deal with them. When in reality all it did was remain in the back of my mind and when something would trigger me, there goes all my tears and outbursts because I hadn't faced the things I had been through. Some things were very painful to talk about while other things made me so happy to share. Let's face it, we cannot share everything with everyone. Some things are just between you and God and you and yourself and journaling helps to share those things with God and also gives you the space you need to share your exact thought about "that situation." Sometimes I just wanted to share/talk/express without reservation and journaling helps me to do just that. There were times I would be so wound up and I couldn't think of the right words to say to express myself so I would write it down and that helped me by releasing what I was feeling. Journaling helps aide with anxiety, depression, stress, goal planning, memory

retention and also it gives you a clear view of where you're at in life and where you want to go. Not to mention, God talks back to you, giving you the answers you need to go forward. Masking things to make it seem like you're okay just to get through the day can sometimes only keep you up at night because your mind is still going thinking about all the things you're holding in. I hope this post has helped you to open up about releasing what's on the inside so it will no longer affect your life on the outside.

With love,

Tiera
